Debra Shelden
The first 3
months of your baby’s life, often referred to as the “4th trimester”
are quite challenging and exhausting for new parents. Your baby is
learning to survive out in the world. She needs you to help her
gently transition to life on the outside by being fed often, being
held, rocked, cuddled and loved.
The
Happiest Baby on the Block is based on the concept of the “4th
trimester”. When parents use the “5’s” which are taught in the class,
they are recreating the comforting aspects of life in the womb.
Parents
will also learn:
• Why the idea that colic is due to gas pains is mostly an old wives
tale.
• Why keeping the house quiet may actually be upsetting to many
newborns.
•
Why most babies get more upset in the evening.
•
Why it's impossible to spoil young babies
•
An easy way to help infants sleep a few more
hours at night
The cost
for this 2 hour class is $55 and includes a Happiest Baby on the Block
DVD and a Soothing Sounds CD. It is recommended that anyone who
will be caring for your baby attend the class. Babies are
welcome!
