The weekend immersion is a way to
complete an entire childbirth class series in a few days, and is ideal for
people whose schedules don't allow them to attend weeknight classes or classes
over a longer period of time. You get all the content, interaction, and
activities of the 7-week series in a Friday night, and all-day Saturday and
Sunday format. Classes run from 6:30-9:30pm on Friday evening, and
all day Saturday and Sunday from 9:00am to 5:00pm.
Weekend immersions are offered
every other month. Class fee is $250 per couple (other support
people are welcome to attend the full series for an additional $25, or to attend
one class free).
Payment Options are available.
The fee includes a Journal that you can
use to document your pregnancy, birth, and parenting journey. You can write,
draw, and paint in it, and keep notes throughout class. It provides many
additional activities and tools for you to explore beyond what we will do in the
classroom.
This class is taught by
Carrie Kenner,
Angie Dobbins-Frisbie,
Rebecca Shepherd, or
Amity Kramer.
"We
attended 2010 weekend immersion class. We were a bit nervous about
attending such a long class but were pleasantly surprised with how
quickly it went by and how our interest and attention was kept
throughout the entire weekend.
Despite the
fact that it was the hottest weekend of the year, we managed to emerge from
the class feeling much more confident and prepared for our upcoming birthing
experience.
Angie was
very accommodating and enthusiastic and was knowledgeable in all of the
areas in which the class had questions." A. & J.C.
